HOW TO MAINTAIN YOUR ARMR PPF WRAP

ARMR PPF is designed to be extremely resilient, but improper care will lead to premature wear. Whether you're a professional installer, or recently had your car wrapped, these are our top tips for keeping your vehicle looking fresh for years!

KEEP IT CLEAN

Regularly wash away contaminants, grime, and debris. Hand washing with proper equipment is always the best technique and we recommend avoiding automatic car washes and abrasive tools.

  • Wash at least every 2 weeks.
  • Wash out of direct sunlight to avoid water spots and streaking.
  • Hand-washing with Wrap Fresh products is highly recommended.
  • If you use a car wash, only use a premium touchless wash. Avoid brushes.
  • Use the "two-bucket" wash method with various towels to reduce scratching.
  • Store the vehicle indoors and avoid harsh weather conditions when possible.

DRYING TECHNIQUES

Just as important as washing your car is properly drying it. Leave the beach towels for the kids and only use an Ultra Plush drying towel. Not only is it non-abrasive, but it’s also super absorbent. On average, you can dry one full vehicle with just one towel without having to wring it out or wait for it to dry. Keep the car covered and out of direct weather when possible.

LEAVE IT TO THE PROS

If you come across any imperfections, contact your installer and do not attempt to address these areas yourself. Air pockets, lifting, and lines can appear over time. They’re a normal part of the process. Let your installer handle the trimming and poking.

HOW TO CERAMIC COAT YOUR PPF
  • WORMING & LINES

Worming is when air gets trapped inside the channels of the film. These small visual imperfections are a normal byproduct of PPF installation and may dissipate over time.

Repositioning the film can also run the risk of creating lines in the adhesive. This is a normal part of installation and the reposition lines will become less noticeable over time as the adhesive settles.

  • AIR & WATER POCKETS

Air and water pockets naturally form during installation. They may dissipate over time, but if they don’t, please contact your installer so that they can address the situation professionally. Rest assured that these pockets of air and water do not mean the film has failed or was installed improperly, they are a normal part of the curing process and usually appear due to temperature changes.

  • CURING TIME

Most imperfections will appear and/or disappear within the first 2 weeks after installation as the film begins to settle and adjust to various temperatures. Most commonly you may see air & water pockets, worming & adhesive lines. Rest assured that these things are normal. However if you still see any issues after 2 weeks, please contact your installer.
